About 500,000 BECE graduates who sat for the 30th edition of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) when the Senior High School placement are out will choose their own schools based on their aggregates.

The National Coordinator of the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), Mark Sasu Mensah in a blog post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh assured that all BECE graduates will get placement.

According to him, there are a little over 500,000 SHS self-placement slots available because of the upgrades and the structure of the CSSPS system.

He advised that a candidate should access he or her self before selecting any available second-cycle school at the self-placement module.

“You might perform very well, but if you choose very competitive programmes, it becomes very difficult for you to get them. Parents should also ask themselves and their wards if the wards would be admitted to the schools that they are choosing,” he said as quoted by UniversNews.
