The Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh says 2021 to 2024 BECE candidates will benefit from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy should Nana Akufo-Addo win the 2020 polls.
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh announced this when he joined His Excellency Akufo-Addo to commission two 450-bed dormitories at Asare Bediako SHS and T.I Ahmadiyah SHS in the Fomena Constituency all in Ashanti Region.
“The commissioning of the two 450-bed dormitories forms part of the Nana Akufo-Addo government’s efforts to increase BECE candidates access to Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the country”, NAPO stated on social media.
This the Manhyia South Member of Parliament said is to phase out the current double-track system by increasing infrasturacture in the most sought after Senior High Schools (SHSs) across the nation.
NAPO on behalf of NPP urged the good people of Ghana to vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the December 7 elections in other for every candidate who will be succesful at BECE benefit from the Free SHS policy
“The NPP government, if given another 4-year tenure will continue to ensure that every child who passes their BECE has access to senior high school education irrespective of their socio-economic background”, he urged.
