The Minister in charge of Education, NAPO has disclosed that the over 27,000 basic schools in Ghana in the next 6 years would be procured with an ICT laboratory filled with 50 computers and one laptop for a teacher.
The Manhyia South MP, in an interview with PeaceFM monitored by Georgeweb.org, said the Finance Ministry on October 29, 2020, presented the phase two of the national digitization project to the Education Ministry.
“Every school in the country, the over 27,000 basic schools in the next 6 years will get one computer laboratory furnished with 50 computers and the teachers also be provided with one laptop or computer”, he stressed.
This Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh said was contained in the digitization contract earlier submitted to his outfit by Ghana’s Ministry of Finance.
The Education Minister furthered that the national digitization project will ensure every basic school is equipped with at least an ICT laboratory with 50 computers mainly for the school and a laptop for the teacher.
NAPO in the light of the above urged the good people of Ghana, especially teachers to vote for God’s representative, President Nana Akufo-Addo in the upcoming December 7, 2020, general elections for another four year term.
